Dear Tree on the side of the road
Dear tree on the side of the road,
I saw you as I walked by with my bear, Juicy stapled to my shirt. I wondered what you might have been thinking when you suddenly snapped and broke in half. You kinda fell hard. I wonder how badly that hurt. Do you still hurt, I wonder? The noise of you breaking reminded me of when I ripped off Juicy's head. Kinda like a ripping, crackling chomp chomp. Also reminds me of biting into a peanut butter wafer. Perhaps your limb can regenerate like worms do.. And then we can have double the trees. Multiply that during storms, right?
I have a confession to make. Juicy was getting hot being stapled to my shirt, so I went ahead and took part of your limb to act as a shade. To make it up to you I have already buried it in the backyard. Juicy was in there with it for a while, but I had a change of heart.
I'm sure plenty of worms are helping you out right now. RIP, Tree limb and may your new parts be so great!!!!
