These tiles were inspired by the Slimhead fish who live in the deep depths of the sea. Already an incredibly fascinating species, I found myself adding a little bit of my touch to the design.

Process:
These white earthenware tiles are created from slab and cut with a tile cutter. Additional clay is built up in areas, formed, carved and detailed. They then go through a bisque firing. I sand the tiles down with very fine sandpaper. Glaze is then applied followed by the final firing.
