This Ceramic Pipe is handmade using a slab construction technique. The bowl and stem are created separately and then assembled. They are then formed, carved, detailed, bisque fired, glazed and fired again.
Working with clay is quite a process and to make something special takes time. This way of creating helps with the connection between the artist and the piece.
